Please read carefully our terms & Conditions
Room hire may require a deposit/payment/booking fee via Credit Card at the time of booking
Any cancellation less than a month before will risk losing the booking deposit and potentially any pre payments
Any fully prepaid functions that are cancelled within a week will forfeit the total pre-payment (there may be some mitigating circumstances that can be discussed on a case by case basis)
Sometimes the initial room your function was booked in may need to change due to unforeseen circumstances, the staff will always find a space in the venue to accomodate your parties size with minimal interruption to the booking
Due to the configuration of our 2 level venue, there is the possibility that a function may need to be transferred to the other level to accomodate the smooth running of a bar as well as a busy restaurant
Larger bookings may carry a 10% service fee
For all menu item changes (or dietary requirements), we require at least 48 hours notice for our kitchen to prepare
No BYO alcohol, we are fully licensed, if you have alcohol on you - please leave this with our floor staff to store
For all booking deposits - these are non - refundable and don’t go towards a credit, they purely act as a booking fee which is used as a deposit (not all functions will have these, but smaller functions without minimum spends generally do)
Please note: All functions are different and not ‘one size fits all’ - please speak to our booking staff who will put all the terms and conditions in writing for both parties to have as a reference
Booking fee’s are non refundable and not to be redeemed, the cost of a booking fee is dictated by the size and nature of that booking
When booking your function we request that all booking information be as accurate possible
If there is a cancellation within a month of the booking then we reserve the right to keep any monies prepaid
Minimum spends: must be hit by the end of the function, cannot be spent on take away beverages, cannot be refunded or used as credit for another time, and cannot be negotiated with staff on the night
If minimum spends are not hit, payment will be taken at the end of the night for any shortfall
All function bookings require a credit card on file that may be charged if minimum spends are not hit or damage occurs to the venue
With regards to minimum spends and bar tabs, we reserve the right to adhere to RSA guidelines throughout the whole function
With minimum spends and bar tabs we will give you regular updates with regards to where your tab is at if required
Cakeage fee is $2pp, unless previously discussed with the events team
No refunds on any pre payments for food, drinks, packages or minimum spends within 72 hours of the event
As we are a busy venue with multiple functions happening at the same time, all agreed timings must be adhered to unless The Corner House staff tell you otherwise
If guest numbers go up more than the capacity of the assigned area then the host may need to ask people to leave
Any damage to the venue by guests must be paid for by the host/client who booked the event
If the space is left in a mess or needs extra cleaning the host may be charged a cleaning fee post event
On the day/night of the event, if guest numbers drop significantly then the venue reserves the right to open up the space to the public
